Honest Pricing, Listed Up Front
Two simple parts: the notary fee set by California law, and a flat travel fee for coming to you. You'll know the full cost before we arrive.
$15
per notarial act
The notary fee: $15 per signature
California law sets the maximum notary fee at $15 per notarial act — that is, per signature notarized. This part is the same everywhere in the state, and we never charge more than the law allows for the notarial act itself.
Travel fees by zone
Because Calaveras County is spread out, we charge one flat travel fee based on where you are. It is a separate, clearly listed charge — never rolled into the $15 notary fee.

What every visit includes
- Travel to your home, office, hospital, or care facility
- Careful review that each signer has valid photo ID
- The notarial certificate and our required journal entry
- A calm, unhurried signing — we never rush you
A typical in-home signing
- Notary fee ($15 × number of signatures)
- $15 each
- Flat travel fee for your zone
- added once
Example: a single document with two signatures in Zone 1 is two notarial acts plus one Zone 1 travel fee. We confirm the exact total with you before the visit — no surprises.
Loan signing pricing
Loan signing is coming soon. Those signings are billed to the title and escrow company, not to the borrower — so the pricing above does not apply to them.
